1. Acceptance of Terms By accessing or using the services of The Indie Critic (LitCredence.com), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy.
2. Editorial Integrity and Review Policy
Unbiased Critique: The service fee covers the critic’s time for professional reading and analysis, not the final opinion or star rating. All reviews are based solely on the literary merit of the manuscript.
No Guarantee of Praise: Payment does not guarantee a positive outcome or favorable verdict.
Negative Review Policy: If the final critique contains significant negative evaluation, the author will be contacted privately and offered the option to reject publication on The Indie Critic website. However, the service fee remains non-refundable (see Section 3).
3. Payment and Refund Policy
Service Fee: The fee is charged for the critic’s time and labor in completing the editorial critique.
Non-Refundable Service: Due to the time-intensive nature of professional reading, fees are non-refundable once the assignment has been initiated (i.e., when the manuscript is assigned to a critic, typically within 24 hours of submission).
Cancellations: We cannot cancel or refund a submission once the reading process has begun, regardless of the final published review status.
4. Author Responsibility and Intellectual Property
Original Work: The author guarantees that they hold the necessary rights and intellectual property for the submitted manuscript.
Confidentiality: The Indie Critic guarantees the strict confidentiality of all uploaded manuscripts. Your work will not be shared, distributed, or published without your express written permission.
5. Governing Law These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India.
