Lit Credence provides independent editorial review services and related book-listing copy services for authors.

Our services may include professional editorial assessment, review writing, book blurb rewriting, listing messaging recommendations, and other deliverables specifically described on the relevant service or package page.

Independent Editorial Reviews

An editorial review is an independent assessment of a submitted book. The reviewer's opinions, observations, criticism, and overall assessment are their professional judgment.

Purchasing a review means purchasing the review service itself. It does not mean purchasing a predetermined opinion or positive outcome.

Our Packages

Deliverables are limited to those stated on the applicable package description at the time of purchase.

Book Submission

To provide our services, you may be required to submit information about your book and, depending on the service, a manuscript or other book files.

You are responsible for ensuring that the information and materials you submit are accurate, complete, and suitable for review.

You must have the necessary rights or authorization to submit any manuscript, book file, image, or other material provided to Lit Credence.

Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of your original manuscript, book, cover artwork, and other intellectual property that you submit to us.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, submission of your materials does not transfer ownership or copyright to Lit Credence.

After payment and delivery, you may use the purchased deliverables for your own book marketing and promotional purposes, subject to the specific terms of the service purchased.

Reviewer Assignment

Lit Credence may select a reviewer based on factors such as genre, subject matter, reviewer experience, availability, and suitability for the project.

Reviewer assignment is determined by Lit Credence and may change when reasonably necessary to complete the service.

Delivery Time

Our standard estimated delivery timeframe is generally 7–10 business days unless another timeframe is stated for the purchased service.

Delivery times may occasionally be affected by reviewer availability, holidays, technical issues, incomplete submissions, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Revisions

If a purchased package includes a revision, the revision is limited to reasonable corrections or adjustments within the scope of the original service.

A revision does not require Lit Credence or a reviewer to change an independent editorial opinion simply because the author disagrees with it.

Payments

Services must be paid for according to the pricing and payment terms displayed at the time of purchase.

Prices may be changed for future orders without affecting services that have already been purchased.

Payment processing may be handled by third-party payment providers. Their own terms and policies may also apply to payment transactions.

Refunds & Cancellations

Refunds and cancellations are governed by our separate Refund Policy.

Because our services involve custom work, reviewer assignment, reading, analysis, and writing, cancellation rights may be affected once substantive work has begun.

Prohibited Use

You agree not to use our services or website for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or misleading purposes.

• You must not submit content you do not have the right to provide.
• You must not attempt to manipulate an independent review outcome.
• You must not misrepresent a Lit Credence editorial review as an Amazon customer review.
• You must not use our website to distribute malicious software or harmful content.

Use of Reviews

Unless otherwise stated in writing, delivered editorial review content may be used by the purchasing author for legitimate promotional, marketing, website, and book-related purposes.

Authors must not edit a review in a way that materially changes its meaning or creates a misleading impression of the reviewer's opinion.

Editorial reviews are not customer reviews and should not be represented as verified purchaser reviews or reader reviews.

No Guarantee of Commercial Results

Lit Credence does not guarantee book sales, rankings, visibility, readership, reviews, advertising performance, or any particular commercial result from the use of our services.

Any marketing, listing, positioning, or editorial recommendations are provided as professional recommendations and are not guarantees of results.

Website Availability

We aim to keep our website available and functional, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access at all times.

We may temporarily modify, suspend, or discontinue portions of the website for maintenance, security, technical reasons, or other legitimate business needs.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Lit Credence will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or unforeseeable losses arising from the use of our website or services.
